KOYKAN - LOOKING FORWARD, 2027 AND BEYOND

Koykan, a fast-growing European restaurant chain, is not running someone else's brand. It is building its own, across Europe.

After opening nine restaurants in four countries, we are carrying on. We offer interested investors the opportunity to invest in our business through the investment platform.

Why Koykan?

The fastest-growing segment

Fast casual is the fastest-growing segment in hospitality. Younger generations want a brand they know, at a price they can afford every week, served fast. Chains deliver that and independent restaurants rarely can, so demand is shifting steadily towards chains.

A licensed franchise system

Koykan uses the franchise model that took McDonald’s and KFC around the world: one brand standard, licensed to local operators. Few European brands are set up this way, which makes Koykan a rare opportunity for investors.

A capital platform for growth

Europe does not lack restaurant concepts. Operators lack capital: almost none of them can fund hundreds of openings. Koykan Capital, the company’s own investment platform, finances new restaurants, so the format itself sets the pace of growth.

Proven in international markets

The Koykan model already works in several international markets. The same format, menu system and operating standards carry across borders, so every new market starts from a proven model rather than from scratch.

A multi-product street food concept

Under one brand, Koykan offers several street food categories, each of them popular worldwide. The offer is adapted to local tastes, for everyone from students and families to office workers and athletes, so the brand stays relevant everywhere.

A menu that keeps renewing itself

Every quarter, Koykan tests new limited-time items. Those that sell well replace the weakest item on the menu the following quarter. The brand keeps renewing itself, stays interesting and stands the test of time.

A technology company that sells food

Koykan’s data platform runs sales, shifts, food costs, logistics, recipes and training. Artificial intelligence guides in-store work in real time, and the Store OS software automates production in the kitchen. The management team gained its experience at Amazon and Microsoft.

Centralised procurement and logistics

A single centralised procurement system and supply chain serve every Koykan restaurant. New locations open with suppliers, prices and deliveries already agreed, which speeds up expansion and makes it easier to sign agreements with franchise partners.

A system proven in four countries, ready to expand further across Europe

Over the past eighteen months, Koykan has successfully tested its franchise operating model, supply chains and digital infrastructure in four European markets: Croatia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany. The system has proved effective and is ready for further expansion across Europe.

On this page we present the business strategy through which we finance further expansion in Europe, in plain language that every investor can follow, whatever their experience.
To date, Koykan has been backed financially by more than 500 retail investors, with over EUR 4 million invested and a multi-year record of coupons paid on time.

Positioning

Why Koykan, and not any other chain

The fast food market is growing, and within it chains are taking share from independent restaurants. That is the case for investing in the sector.

The next question is why this chain in particular, and the answer lies in the four points below.

Market positioning

Koykan draws guests from both fast food and restaurants

Fast casual sits between two familiar categories. Against traditional fast food, we compete on quality, freshness and healthier food. Against restaurants, we compete on speed and price. Guests who want an honest meal with no wait and no restaurant bill come from both directions.

We compete for the guest not only with fast food chains. There are also bakery chains, delivery services and restaurants in shopping centres. None of these categories offers a fresh meal, prepared on the spot, in about ten minutes and at the price of a business lunch. That is the gap fast casual fills, and it is why it is growing faster than the market as a whole.

Brand ownership

Koykan owns its brand and does not rent someone else's

Most operators running several restaurants in the region work under someone else’s brand. They pay a franchise fee and operate to someone else’s standards, and the right to use the brand lasts only as long as the agreement does and those standards are met.

Koykan owns the brand, the recipes, the franchise system and the technology. The franchise fee from every restaurant in the network, whether company-owned or run by a partner, stays within the Group. That is why the Group is worth more than the sum of its restaurants, and why its co-owner holds a source of revenue rather than a single location.

A lasting advantage

Four things competitors cannot copy quickly or easily

  • Own brand and intellectual property. The brand, recipes and franchise system are ours, not licensed from someone else.
  • A build template. A known cost and the same standard per location, already repeated in four countries.
  • One system in every country. The same till and the same reporting, so each location’s results can be verified, and verifiable figures attract capital more easily.
  • A network of partners. Local delivery and local capital, instead of expanding from a single office.
Investment stage

Why Koykan now, rather than a large global chain

A global chain already listed on the stock exchange

You buy a network that has already been built, at a price that already reflects that build-out. The growth that follows is measured in percentages on a vast base, so a single new location barely moves the value.

Koykan today

You come in while the network is being built, from a few thousand euros and ahead of institutional capital. Every new location, every new market and every new partner measurably moves the value of what you hold.

With a large chain, you buy what has already been built. With Koykan, you enter at the stage where value is still being created, and that is the one stage that cannot be made up later.

Capital that drives growth

How we finance growth, in a few sentences

Koykan finances its growth in the European market through four capital channels. Each channel is designed for a different investor profile and operates within a regulatory framework suited to that profile. Investors can therefore choose the channel that fits their goals and appetite for risk, and on these pages we explain each channel in plain terms.

For investors who want to understand how that framework works and how they can take part in it, we provide the details once you have sent an expression of interest.
